DoorKing 1000-083 Back-up Power Inverter

DoorKing's Model 1000 Power Inverter and Backup system is designed to provide backup power for your vehicular gate operator and access control system when primary (AC) power fails. Unlike DC Gate Operators that can only back-up the gate operator itself with internal batteries to run the DC motor, the model 1000 converts DC battery power to AC power to keep all system components, even the ones that are powered by AC Accessory transformers, operable at all times. DC gate operators do not convert their battery power to AC rendering all AC components of your system inoperable.

The model 1000 can only be used with products that use a PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) motor. Do NOT use the model 1000 on products that utilize a motor with start windings as the start-up amperage draw on this type of motor exceeds the maximum output available from the model 1000 and will cause damage to the inverter. The differences in these two types of motors is difficult to recognize, so we suggest that you contact the manufacturer to determine what type of motor is used in their product.
